Privacy Policy

OctoPlay Logic is an offline logic puzzle game for iPhone. We designed it so your trail stays on your device. This policy explains what limited information is involved, what we do not collect, and how to reach us.

This Privacy Policy applies to the mobile application OctoPlay Logic (the “App”), published by Ana Alvarez (“we”, “us”). It covers how information is handled when you download, install, and play the App.

We do not collect, request, or receive:

• Name, email, phone number, or other contact details through the App
• Precise or approximate location
• Photos, contacts, microphone, camera, or Health data
• Advertising identifiers (IDFA) or tracking across other companies’ apps
• Payment card or Apple ID billing details (the App has no paid in-app purchases)

We do not operate a player database on our servers for this App.

4. Information stored on your device

To remember your game, the App stores a local save on the iPhone you use (via standard iOS on-device storage such as UserDefaults). This may include:

• Completed boards, stars, and chapter unlocks
• Trail coins and cosmetic items you own or have equipped (animals, marks, scenes, frames)
• Achievements and trophy progress
• Daily puzzle streak and related local flags
• Hint and undo usage needed to score a board
• Settings you choose (forest sounds, haptics, onboarding completed)

This information never leaves your device through the App itself. We cannot see your save, restore it on another phone, or combine it with data from other users.

5. Why that local data is used

On-device storage is used only to:

• Keep your progress when you close the App
• Apply the cosmetics and settings you selected
• Run the puzzle rules (hints, stars, unlocks)

Legal basis, where a privacy law asks for one: this processing is necessary to provide the game you asked for (performance of a contract / providing the service), and it stays under your control on the device.

6. Network use

Gameplay does not require an internet connection. The App may use the network only if you open this Privacy Policy (or another page we link) inside the in-app browser, or if you tap an external link yourself. The Close control on this page uses a local loopback link so the App can dismiss the in-app browser; it does not send your play data anywhere.

Loading this page in Safari or in the App may result in ordinary technical logs on the web host (for example IP address, browser type, and time of request). Those logs, if any, are used to operate the website, not to profile you as a player. We do not run advertising or analytics pixels on this page.

7. Apple, the App Store, and your device

Apple may process information according to Apple’s own policies when you download the App, use iOS, iCloud backups you enable, or contact Apple Support. If you back up your iPhone, your local OctoPlay Logic save may be included in that backup under Apple’s terms — that is controlled by you and Apple, not by a cloud account we run.

8. Children

OctoPlay Logic is a general-audience puzzle game. It is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 where that is the relevant age). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data by email, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Your choices

• Sound and haptics — turn them off in Settings inside the App.
• Reset progress — use Reset progress in Settings to wipe the local save on that device (stars, coins, collection, and trophies).
• Delete the App — uninstalling OctoPlay Logic removes its local data from that device.
• Questions or requests — email us. Because we do not hold a player account for you, we usually cannot retrieve a lost save from our side.

10. Sharing, selling, and third parties

We do not sell your information. We do not share player progress with advertisers, data brokers, or social networks. The App does not include third-party advertising, attribution, crash, or analytics SDKs.

If the law requires it, or we must protect rights and safety, we may disclose information that you send us by email (for example the content of a support message).

11. International users

The App stores play data locally on your device, wherever you use it. If you email us, we will receive that message in order to reply. Do not send sensitive personal data unless it is needed to help you.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy if the App or the law changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. Continued use of the App after an update means you are looking at the current version of this page.
